Welcome to MeraDSC is a brand and domain owned by Vishwnet India Private Limited, Business Partner of Capricorn Identity Services Pvt Ltd, a Licensed Certifying Authority in India by CCA, a trusted and authorized platform for the issuance and management of Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) in India. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website www.meradsc.com and the services provided through it.

By accessing, browsing, or using our Website or availing of any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from accessing or using our Website and services.

1. Introduction

MeraDSC operates as an authorized Registration Authority (RA) that facilitates the issuance, renewal, and lifecycle management of Digital Signature Certificates in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Class 2, Class 3, and DGFT Digital Signature Certificates
  • DSCs for Individuals, Organizations, Directors, and Foreign Nationals
  • Signing & Encryption certificates
  • DSCs for government portals such as GST, MCA, Income Tax, EPFO, e-Tendering, etc.
  • USB token-based DSC delivery
  • Support for paperless and Aadhaar-based e-KYC
  • Online application, verification, and delivery services
  • DSC Renewal, Replacement, and Revocation Services

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, you expressly agree that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You have provided accurate, current, and complete information during the application or registration process.
  • You will maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to the terms and conditions laid out here, as well as any additional terms related to specific services.
  • MeraDSC reserves the right to modify, update, or replace any part of these Terms at its sole discretion. Continued use of the services after such changes constitutes acceptance.

3. User Registration and Account Security

To use certain features and services, Users must complete a registration process which includes:

  • Providing personal or organizational details such as Name, Aadhaar, PAN, Address, Email, and Mobile Number.
  • Submitting valid KYC documents, including identity and address proof.
  • Creating and maintaining a secure password.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and are liable for all activities conducted under your account. MeraDSC shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from

4. Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) Services

Types of DSCs Offered

  • Class 2 DSC: Issued to individuals for purposes like filing Income Tax returns, GST, MCA forms, etc.
  • Class 3 DSC: A high-assurance certificate required for e-Tendering, e-Procurement, e-Auctions, and legal documents.
  • DGFT DSC: Specifically for organizations dealing in import/export, recognized by DGFT.
  • Signing Certificates: For digitally signing documents.
  • Encryption Certificates: For securing communication and documents.

DSC Issuance Process

The DSC issuance process includes the following steps:

  • Application Submission: Complete the online DSC application form with accurate details.
  • KYC Verification: Upload self-attested copies of identity and address proof.
  • Payment: Pay the applicable fee securely via UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or Wallet.
  • Identity Verification: Identity is verified via In-Person Verification (IPV), which may be conducted via live video, physical verification, or Aadhaar e-KYC.
  • Certificate Generation: Once verified, the DSC is generated and shared either as a USB token or soft copy, as applicable.

Delivery and Activation

  • Processing Time: 1 to 3 working days from successful verification and payment.
  • Delivery Methods:
    1. Soft copies will be emailed to the registered email ID.
    2. USB tokens will be couriered to the registered address.
  • Activation Instructions: Detailed guidance on how to install and use the DSC is provided upon delivery.

Validity and Renewal

  • DSCs are valid for 1, 2, or 3 years, based on your selection during the application.
  • Renewal requests can be made before the expiry date. Renewal reminders will be sent via email or SMS.

5. Fees and Payment Terms

  • All prices for DSCs are displayed on the Website and are subject to applicable taxes (GST).
  • Payments must be made in full through secure payment gateways.
  • MeraDSC reserves the right to suspend or cancel services for any payment disputes or chargebacks.
  • No refunds will be issued unless explicitly stated under the refund policy.

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund Eligibility:

  • Full refund if DSC issuance fails due to an error on the part of MeraDSC or associated Certifying Authorities.
  • No refund shall be issued in the event of:
    1. Incorrect or fake documents submitted by the user.
    2. Application rejection by the Certifying Authority due to non-compliance.
  • Cancellation requests made after the DSC has been generated.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Users may cancel the application before the DSC is processed or issued by contacting customer support.
  • If the DSC has already been generated, no cancellation or refund shall be entertained.

7. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Activities

By using MeraDSC’s services, you agree not to:

  • Provide false information or impersonate another individual or entity.
  • Use DSCs for illegal, unethical, or unauthorized purposes.
  • Violate any law, regulation, or directive from CCA or the Indian IT Act, 2000.
  • Tamper with, hack, or otherwise compromise the security and integrity of our Website.
  • Redistribute or resell DSCs without prior authorization.

Failure to adhere to these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of services and legal consequences.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy and take data protection seriously.

  • All personal and sensitive information is collected, processed, and stored in accordance with India’s Data Protection Laws.
  • Data may be shared with authorized Certifying Authorities (CAs) and relevant government bodies solely for the purpose of DSC issuance.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, images, videos, icons, and software, is the exclusive property of MeraDSC or its licensors and is protected by Indian intellectual property laws.

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or exploit any content without prior written consent.
  • Unauthorized use may result in legal proceedings and damages.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, MeraDSC and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Any technical failure, network downtime, or system error that affects service delivery.
  • Any act of a third party, including but not limited to fraud, phishing, or unauthorized use.
  • Loss of profits, data, reputation, or business opportunities.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MeraDSC, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your misuse of the services.
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
  • Your infringement of third-party rights.
